Family Services

Relationship Building

Are you looking for more positive interactions between you and your child?

At Innovative Behavioral & Consulting Services, we work to improve parent/caregiver-child, sibling, or other family unit relationships. We do so by building trust and teaching skills to reduce problem behaviors.

 THIS MEANS:

-More communication

-More positive interactions

-More quality time together

All programs are written and delivered with dignity and compassion in mind. We use a trauma-informed care approach. This means that we recognize and respond to the signs, symptoms, and risks of trauma to support clients who have had aversive childhood experiences.

Foster Care Support

We use a trauma-informed care approach which means we recognize and respond to signs, symptoms, and risks of trauma to support students who have had aversive childhood experiences.

We are experienced in using trauma-informed care based strategies by staff who are trained to:

  • Provide strategies to aid in reducing placement disruptions
  • Assess and treat emotional responses in children and caregivers
  • Teach responding to anger and aggression that is triggered by trauma
  • Teach children the skills needed to communicate, tolerate, transition, and cooperate with daily tasks

Caregiver Support

1:1 and Small Group Support

We can provide one-to-one and small group support to parents, guardians, and other caretakers of the same family who have a family member with a developmental disability. These services include information on foundational and advanced Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) concepts and principles, and the application of these to the home or community environment. These strategies focus on how to decrease problematic behaviors through increasing skill development using a compassionate and dignified approach.
